Chapter 13. System Flow

Day in and day out, when the temperature in your house gets too hot, the air conditioner comes on after a few minutes. When the house cools down, the temperature eventually reaches a preset value, but the air conditioner stays on for a bit longer. Then, after a specific amount of time, the air conditioner shuts off. The system doesn’t require any action from you except for the initial setup of the target temperature. The air conditioner’s thermostat functions by relying on timers and temperature sensors that trigger events.
