Appendix B. General Guidelines for Models

There are some aspects of models that are the same for every model and will help your stakeholders understand the models better. These guidelines apply to most of the models, though you should use your judgement as to when to apply them.

Metadata to Include in Models

Although the greater part of the model templates vary from model to model, there is some information that you might want to include in every model you create, as listed in the following table. If you use a requirements management tool, some of this information will be kept for you automatically.
