5 Composite photography

On a modern production it would be unthinkable to set a camera or stage aside for a day, just to do one glass or Schufftan shot.Thus the technically more complex, but also time-efficient, multicomponent or composite shot has become the norm. Here the separate elements are photographed at different times and places according to production convenience. Typically this allows the live action to be shot quickly on a stage with the actors and, later, the more time-consuming elements such as models or paintings can be added under more controlled conditions.
