I once celebrated my birthday with family members at a restaurant. At the end of our meal, the waitress brought a complimentary hot fudge sundae with all the toppings to the table. She lit a candle in the middle of the sundae and called all the available wait staff over to my table, where the group proceeded to sing the popular song “Happy Birthday to You” to the traditional tune from the late 1800s.
