Three Main Sections

This book is divided into three main sections. The first section'Why Visual Solutions in Business?'talks about the argument for using visual solutions for business communications. The second section'Planning and Managing the Visual Solution Process in Your Business'speaks to planning and executing. The third section'Visual Solutions in Business Action'showcases visual solutions in action by providing a comprehensive portfolio, all in a business context. Why not just go right to application of visual solutions? Well, part of the “revolution” of using visual solutions for business communications is still partly, well . . . a revolution in progress. It has not been wholesale adopted by the marketplace. This is partly the reason for this book. There is an explicit suggestion that the author strongly believes that the reader should have already jumped onboard. The author is imagining that the typical reader and his or her associates are, to varying degrees, still on the fence. Some are over the fence and convinced this is the way to make their content easy to understand and, perhaps more importantly, engage their audience with their content. Others are only halfway there: there are other competing interests, they are concerned that visuals may insult the intelligence of their audience, visuals may play havoc with their sophisticated brand, typical bandwidth and budget issues, and so on.
