Advanced Medical Visualization Techniques

Part III “Advanced visualization techniques” starts with the visualization of anatomical tree structures, such as vascular and bronchial trees (Chap. 11). We describe different methods that produce comprehensible visualizations at different levels of detail and accuracy. Surface- and volume rendering techniques were developed and fine-tuned for the peculiarities of anatomical tree structures.
