Summary

Be consistent. This is the most important suggestion for user interface organization, and hence its meaning is included in the chapter title. When your user moves from one part of your application to another, or between your application and other applications he or she may use, the user needs to feel comfortable with the usability of your program. If you are inconsistent in the way that you present and gather information in various parts of your application, the user may be inconsistent in the quality of data entered into the system.
