Why Use Commenting and Style?
By the time you finish this chapter, you will realize that I am quite pleased when I see a program with clear comments and style. Although your number-one reason for employing commenting and style should not be to please Tim Patrick, there is a certain amount of integrity gained when your work is appreciated by your peers. In addition to integrity, there are many practical reasons for applying a full and consistent manner of style and commenting.
