Properties

The Properties window is reminiscent of those used by previous versions of Visual Basic, although it has several new features. When you click on a control or other object in a form’s design view, the Properties window displays that object’s properties. Click on a property’s value and enter a new value to change the property.

When you select some properties, the Properties window displays an ellipsis or drop-down arrow on the right. If you click this, a dialog box or drop-down list appears to let you select the property’s new value.

Many properties are objects in their own right and they have their own properties. Click the plus sign to the left of the property to expand it and see its properties. Figure B.9 shows a form’s Font property ...
