Overview

The Microsoft .NET Framework provides extensive support for dealing with XML. In fact, the amount of information related to XML in Microsoft .NET is too vast to be completely explained by just a few chapters; especially because this book is about Visual Basic .NET. Therefore, this chapter focuses on the basics of using the XML classes to read XML data using Visual Basic .NET. We also assume that you have a basic understanding of XML before reading this chapter.
