Console Application
Microsoft Windows provides a command prompt window that allows you to type in commands using the keyboard to perform everyday tasks such as displaying lists of files, copying files, and deleting files. Figure 4.6 shows the command prompt window. A Console Application project allows you to build a program that can be run within the command prompt window. Console Applications are limited to text output and do not have any associated graphical display. The text output is limited to a command prompt window in which the Console Application runs.
