Empty Web Project
This is along the same lines as the Empty Project. The difference here is that this project is going to be Web-related whereas the Empty Project type is not Web-related.
You would create a project of this type if you were starting out by creating a solution in which you are going to then add more than one other project to it. Otherwise, it is just as easy to create one of the other project types such as Web Application, Web Service, or Web Control Library.
