Synchronized Settings

Visual Studio 2013 introduced the option of signing into the IDE with a Microsoft account. If you do not have a Microsoft account yet, you can get one for free at www.Outlook.com. Signing in is not mandatory, but you get important benefits by using a Microsoft account, including synchronized settings. This feature basically replicates settings you have on your machine across all other installations of Visual Studio you sign into. Visual Studio stores some settings in the cloud. Then, when you run the IDE on a different machine and sign in with the same credentials, it downloads and applies settings stored in the cloud.
