Prerequisites

Prerequisites are those files that the application needs to work correctly, for example runtime components such as the .NET Framework or third-party controls, which the installer installs on the target machine before the application is installed. Generally Visual Studio can detect the appropriate prerequisites and select them for you, but there are situations in which you need to perform this manually, for example when you need to install third-party components. Figure 55.7 shows the Prerequisites dialog.
