VMware Exchange Building Blocks

One of the most daunting tasks for any Exchange/systems administrator is sizing Exchange for performance and capacity. They will oversize their environments to ensure that their current demand and capacity needs are met with some percentage of headroom built-in.

One of major goals in the creation of the VMware Exchange building blocks was to simplify the sizing of Exchange servers. We took the Microsoft best practices, created modular virtual machines, and performed internal testing to ensure they would perform as Microsoft said they would.
