Leonid Fedotov has been in the IT industry for the past 25 years. He graduated with a master of electrical engineering from Moscow State Technical University, Moscow, Russia. Earlier in his career he was a software engineer (Assembly, Pascal, C), and then in 1993, he switched to UNIX systems administration. In 1997, he also started to learn Oracle administration and development and worked as a UNIX systems administrator and Oracle DBA for about 15 years. In 2011 he was introduced to the Hadoop world and worked as a support engineer and later as a Hadoop platform systems architect and security architect. He is an author of several Hadoop-related books, published in the iBook store at Apple.
