Chapter 3. Configuring Client Hyper-V
Microsoft Hyper-V is the current Microsoft solution for implementing virtual machines (VMs). Hyper-V was first introduced in Microsoft Windows Server 2008, and each release has been improved significantly with additional features. On the server side in Windows Server 2012 R2, Hyper-V is capable of supporting enterprise-level virtualization in datacenters that support hundreds or thousands of VMs. Implementing pooled and personal virtual desktops uses the Hyper-V feature in Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2.
