Practice, Practice, Practice

What do world-class athletes and musicians have in common? They spend hours and hours each day practicing. Musicians do warm-up exercises, practice basic techniques, and play musical pieces over and over again. Prior to a public performance, they do a complete dress rehearsal to ensure their show components are all ready.

Athletes also practice regularly. They practice basic skills, run drills, and simulate game-day situations. Depending upon the sport, they may practice with the rest of their team, or they may practice on their own. They work with a coach who provides perspective and guidance on their performance.
