CERT Advisories

The Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Center (CERT-CC) acts as a focal point for information pertaining to security on Internet hosts. In addition to providing assistance to Internet users whose systems or networks have been compromised, it’s an information center storing known product vulnerabilities. This information is distributed in what are known as CERT-CC Advisories. You can have new advisories emailed to you by subscribing to . New advisories are also posted to the comp.security.announce newsgroup. An archive of the advisories is kept at ftp://info.cert.org/pub/cert_advisories/.

Although most of these advisories pertain to Unix systems, there are many that cover Internet security in general (such as IP spoofing). Newer advisories have also covered problems with web browsers, Java, and JavaScript.
