Chapter 5. Placing Video on a Web Page

All Flash-deployed video content needs a Flash movie (SWF file) to play in a Web browser. In HTML documents, you don’t link directly to FLV or H.264 files. Instead, you can add a Flash movie to the document and load the video content into that Flash movie using <object> and <embed> tags. You can also embed video into a SWF file, but embedded video is mostly a thing of the past—it’s easier to manage video content by loading the video file into a Flash movie. In this chapter, you’ll learn how to set up Flash movie video players using Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 and Adobe Flash CS4 Professional.
