Why Change The Lens Angle?

Although most video cameras are fitted with a zoom lens, we only use the zooming action occasionally. More often, we select a particular angle or focal length within its range, and shoot at that setting.

Our impressions of distance, scale and proportion can be distorted whenever the camera’s lens angle differs from normal, but there are many practical advantages in having a selection of lens angles available. They can greatly extend shot opportunities.
