Week 4: Name Your Venture

To welcome Kyle’s family to her neighborhood, Heather delivered a batch of her Grandma Ida’s Jumble cookies. Kyle had never tasted anything like them. After they became fast friends, she said to Heather, “We should sell your cookies.” Since their kids devoured this healthy, high-fiber snack, Heather and Kyle thought it would be fun to offer the cookies at a school fund-raiser to see if there was a market for the product. The cookies were a hit and they were in business. To name their venture, the two women wanted something that evoked sharing—sharing between Grandma Ida and her granddaughter, between a mom and child, or between two friends—so they came up with the perfect name, “You & Me Cookie.”
