This chapter covers the following subjects:
• vCenter Server log files and locations—This section will detail vCenter Server log files that are useful in troubleshooting.
• ESXi log files and locations—Log files for ESXi hosts are important when it comes to troubleshooting. A number of log files exist, and some of the more important ones will be detailed in this section.
• Tools used to view vSphere log files—Several different tools can be utilized by the system administrator to analyze vSphere log files. This section will discuss tools such as the Syslog Collector and Log Bundles.
