Part 1: Become a Negotiator

Everyone negotiates! This, however, does not make us all negotiators. In order to become a negotiator, we need to ready ourselves for the new role. First, we need to better understand what negotiation is. Then, we have to revisit our current thinking about negotiation to either confirm or renew it.

To help in this process, we will walk through negotiation’s past, present and future. Then, we will revisit some basic assumptions surrounding negotiations so that we can check our own. Finally, we recommend some assumptions that will give us a fresh and positive start.
