Effective and meaningful UX starts with a strategy built on the business's objectives and the users' needs. It also responds to technological advances and changes in user behavior.

The world of digital interfaces and technology evolves constantly. New technology continuously emerges, such as in 2013, with the advent of the “smart watch.” Also, changes in technology can cause changes in users’ behaviors. (Did watch sales go down as people started relying on their smartphones more and more? Will the pendulum swing back the other way now that the hot technology actually is a watch?) These changes may also present more channels for users to interact with a store, website, or app.
