8. Printing Your Documents

Although desktop printing is a simple process, Publisher documents often are printed professionally. This chapter provides you with a background in commercial printing.

It might seem a bit odd for me to include an entire chapter on printing. After all, printing is a common function in all the Microsoft Office products and can be accomplished in a matter of a few mouse clicks.

Publisher documents are unique in that they are often sent to professional print shops. You never hear of anyone paying a premium price to have an Excel spreadsheet or a PowerPoint slide deck professionally printed, and yet this is the norm for Publisher documents.
