17. Making Your Own Audio Recordings

This chapter introduces you to the basic steps of making your own recording in GarageBand.

GarageBand is the application you use to make your own audio recordings. It’s included in the iLife ‘09 suite that comes on every new Mac and in the box upgrade of OS X Snow Leopard. You can make audio tracks for voices, music played by real instruments that are connected to your Mac, and music played by software instruments included in GarageBand. Additionally, you can mix and tweak the tracks until you have just the result you want.
