7. Browsing the Web

This chapter focuses on the unique features of Safari that make web browsing more efficient and enjoyable.

The Internet has grown to such huge proportions that even its inventors could not come close to imagining its potential at its inception in 1969. All you need to tap into it is an Internet service provider (ISP). Mac supplies the modem and everything else you need for browsing the Web in its application called Safari.

I assume you already know a great deal about browsing the Web, so I don’t want to waste time on the basics in this chapter. I’m not going to cover how to type a web address or what a hyperlink is.
