Extension Compatibility

There is no legacy mode in Joomla 1.6 like there is in Joomla 1.5, so Joomla 1.0 extensions are not compatible with Joomla 1.6. Also, Joomla 1.5 extensions arenât compatible with Joomla 1.6. Thereâs no legacy support, but itâs a simple upgrade for extension developers who have made their components truly Joomla 1.5 native.
