In this chapter I will combine most of the methods you have learned so far to describe how to create successful user experience innovations for an existing product or a product targeted for new target users. With most of the previous methods, I assumed that you already had a more or less fixed product that you needed to create successful user experience innovations for. In this chapter, we will assume that the product you are designing is much more open when it comes to supported target users, technologies, applications, and—if a device—form factors, keypad layout, display size, and so forth.
