B.1 Overview

This example demonstrates the relationship between business and technical requirements. We selected this example because it includes technical requirements that are not purely concerned with the usual suspects of load, stress, and scalability. We approach this example as change to an existing use case without showing the steps that led to the development of the requirements up to this point.

Our starting point is the realization that our system has a serious flaw—we missed an important requirement—and development is already under way.
