The six components of a great app experience: a handy reminder

Context = palm. Context is at the center of everything.

Input = thumb. The user’s thumb is the primary (but not only) input device.

Output = index finger. Points out that output shouldn’t be limited to what’s shown onscreen.

Responsiveness = middle finger. Remember that the perception of responsiveness is central to a good experience!

Connectivity = ring finger. The connection between devices and people is key to most app experiences.

Resources = little finger. Resources, like your pinky finger, are small but still important.
