Summary

In this chapter, we covered the VPN services provided by Untangle NGFW. We went deeply into understanding how each solution works. This chapter also provided a guide on how to configure and deploy the services. Untangle provides a free solution that is based on the well-known open source OpenVPN, which provides an SSL-based VPN. IPsec is also provided from Untangle as a paid service. Both applications can be used for client-to-site and site-to-site connections. The site-to-site service provided by IPsec is much better than the one provided by OpenVPN. The client-to-site connection provided by IPsec is based on L2TP/IPsec.
