Companies are offering workshops and seminars on the subject. Television news anchors are interviewing experts on networking tips. Even as we’re writing this chapter, we received a media request for ideas on how to remember peoples’ names at networking events. Our advice: Don’t bother going to those networking events in the first place. Pure heresy.
