cvs [cvs-options
] release [-d]directories
...
Make a sandbox inactive. This command checks for uncommitted
changes, removing any existing edit flags, and writes to the
CVSROOT/history file that the
sandbox has been released. You can use release
on an entire sandbox or on one
or more subdirectories.
