Synopsis

cvs [cvs-options] annotate [options] [files ...]

Display a file or files with annotations showing the last editor and revision that changed each line of the file. If no files are supplied, the files in the current sandbox are shown. See also rannotate.

Synonym: ann.

Standard subcommand options: -D, -f, -l, -r, -R.

Option

-F

Show annotations for binary files.

Example

    $ cvs annotate Makefile

    Annotations for Makefile
    ***************
    1.2  (arnold     01-Sep-02): #
    1.2  (arnold     01-Sep-02): # Wizzard project Makefile
    1.2  (arnold     01-Sep-02): # A Robbins, 1 September 2002
