Being a Contact Target

Apps that want to be listed in the contact card must specify actions that they can handle. Currently, these actions can be emailing, calling, video calling, sending a message, mapping an address, and posting to a social network. It turns out that you can be included for two of these actions by supporting the Protocol contract. If your app is a target for the Protocol contract for the mailto scheme, it is automatically included in the list of apps on the contact card that can send mail. And if your app is a target for the Protocol contract for the tel scheme, it is automatically included in the list of apps that can make a phone call.
