File Type Associations
You can add any number of File Type Associations declarations to your package manifest for PC and/or phone, one per file type. With each one, you have a few pieces of information to fill out:
→ Display name—Text used to describe the type of file in Control Panel.
→ Logo—An image used for file icons in the Windows desktop. If you don’t specify one, your app’s square 30x30 logo is used.
→ Info tip—Text used for the icon’s tooltip in the Windows desktop.
→ Name—An all-lowercase ID used by Windows that should never change, even if you update the display name in a future version of your app.
→ Edit flags—You can decide whether downloaded files of this type are safe to automatically open. The choices are “Open is safe” or “Always ...
