AutoPlay Content and AutoPlay Device

An app that declares itself as a target for the AutoPlay Content contract can be listed as a choice for the user to launch when he or she inserts new content, such as a CD, DVD, or Blu-ray disc. This situation can even be triggered when content is shared between two PCs via a tap-and-send gesture (leveraging Near Field Communication). If you add AutoPlay Content to the declarations list in your package manifest, you’ll notice that you must explicitly define at least one launch action. Each launch action consists of three pieces of data:

Content event—The name of a predefined AutoPlay event that you want to handle. A list of these is available at http://bit.ly/StSRHf.
