Time-Based Trials

If you set up a time-based trial in your Windows Dev Center dashboard, you don’t need to do any date-based or time-based math in your code. In fact, you don’t need to do anything in your code! The Windows Store manages this for you and simply prevents the user from continuing to use your app once the trial expires. The dashboard currently allows you to choose one of four pre-defined time periods: 1 day, 7 days, 15 days, and 30 days. The countdown begins once a user installs your app—on any of their devices. Just like a full license, the trial license is per-user and roams accordingly.
