Adding Phone Ads to a Page

On phone-specific pages, you can use the same AdControl used on PC-specific pages, just with appropriate values for ApplicationId and AdUnitId. You must also:

1. Change the namespace from Microsoft.Advertising.WinRT.UI to Microsoft.Advertising.Mobile.UI.

2. Manually add a reference to the “Microsoft Advertising SDK for Windows Phone 8.1 (XAML)” extension to your phone project.

All AdControls in each project must use the same ApplicationId!

You can (and should) use the ApplicationId for PC ads in the PC project and the ApplicationId for phone ads in the phone project, however. If you use more than one ApplicationId
