Will Democracy Survive?

If one follows the likely progression of job losses and the need to pay most of the population an income whether they work or not, whether called a universal basic income (UBI) or something similar, where the amounts of such payments would be distributed and in the hands of the majority, it is very difficult to see how a system of one person one vote, or ­democracy could survive. Remember also the linkage in most cases of democracy with capitalism and what happens when there is a major disparity between the owners of wealth and the rest.
