Chapter 11. Scripts from Other Parts of the World

So far in Part II, we've taken an in-depth look at the four major script groups still in use around the world today. To recap:

• In Chapter 7, we looked at the five European alphabetic scripts, which are descended from the ancient Phoenician alphabet by way of the ancient Greek alphabet. These scripts are all alphabetic in nature, consist of uppercase/lowercase pairs, are written from left to right, and use spaces between words.
