Appendix . About the CD-ROM
The CD-ROM that accompanies Understanding the Linux Virtual Memory Manager contains software and tools that aid code comprehension of the kernel. The CD-ROM includes the following:
An installation of Apache that is usable with any GNU/Linux system. Mount the CD with the command
mount /dev/cdrom /cdrom -o exec; start the server with the command/cdrom/start_server.A web-browsable copy of the Linux 2.4.22 and 2.6.0-test4 kernels. This allows code to be browsed and identifiers to be searched for.
A searchable index for functions that have a code commentary available. If a function is searched for that does not have a commentary, the browser will be automatically redirected to a web-browsable version of the source.
