Let’s Get Technical

If you want to learn about the market, it’s essential that you keep an open mind. In other words, become familiar with both fundamental and technical analysis before you buy or sell stocks. Even if you are not interested in short-term trading strategies, it’s useful to learn how to use some of the most basic technical tools, which I describe now.

Yes, there are hundreds of mind-numbing tools and charts and patterns, but in my experience, all you need is a handful of indicators. As an investor (or trader), you may not have the time to study technical analysis, but you do need a quick method to confirm whether your stock selections represent a good buy or a big mistake. Technical analysis helps you with those insights.
