Abstract

The precision of the position estimates depends upon how well the ranges are measured. However, in all practical scenarios, no measurements involved in the satellite navigation process can be done without making errors. So, Chapter 7 deals with the errors present in the receiver measurements and estimations, which eventually lead to imprecise position estimations. This chapter first categorizes the errors according to their characteristics and then describes the sources from which these errors are introduced into the measurements.
