Summary
This chapter has focused on many of the deployment issues to consider before an organization selects one or more technology vendors and launches its initial PKI deployment. The key is to understand the issues to the maximum extent possible and to make educated decisions based on facts and requirements rather than on marketing hype. If necessary, it is highly recommended that an experienced, vendor-independent consultant be hired to help the organization work through these issues.
