ANSI X9F

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) committee X9 (Financial Services) develops and publishes standards for the Financial Services Industry in order to facilitate delivery of financial products and services. Subcommittee X9F is responsible for standards related to data and information security and includes working groups focused on cryptographic tools (X9F1), protocols (X9F3), and digital signature and certificate policy (X9F5), among others. X9F has published a significant number of standards (see, for example, the online catalog at http://www.x9.org) and is active in submitting some of its more mature draft documents as new work items to the related ISO group TC68.
