A number of operational considerations must be taken into account if some of the PKI-enabled services discussed in this chapter are to be offered in a given environment. Some of these are discussed in the following subsections.
Trusted Time Delivery Mechanism
For the secure time stamping service (and, consequently, for the notarization and non-repudiation services that rely on it), there must be a way of delivering trusted time to (at least) the time stamp authority (or authorities) in the network.
