Digital projection is one of the key drivers for Digital Cinema implementation. It is the most visible and most expensive component of the delivery chain. For Digital Cinema to be successful, the technology must transparently deliver the story to the screen. Cinema storytelling often uses dark areas of the image to develop the story, and as a result, color and dynamic performance, especially near black, are very important.
